Lauterbrunnen is a village and municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The village is situated at the confluence of the Weisse Lütschine and the Schwarze Lütschine, which join to form the Brünig pass. It lies in a U-shaped valley between high cliffs and has 72 waterfalls, including the Staubbach Falls which is one of Switzerland’s tallest waterfalls at 300m.
