And with so many talented players vying for a spot on their respective national teams, there will be no shortage of excitement. Fabian Schar 

Fabian Schar is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a defender for the Premier League club Newcastle United and the Switzerland national team. Schar started his career with FC Basel, winning the Swiss Super League in each of his first two seasons. He then moved to German Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim, where he spent two seasons before joining Deportivo de La Coruña in La Liga. After one season in Spain, he returned to Hoffenheim. In 2018, he joined Newcastle United. A versatile defender, Schar primarily plays as a center-back, but can also be deployed as a left-back or right-back. He has been capped over 40 times by Switzerland since making his senior debut in 2013 and was part of their squads that reached the round of 16 at both the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016.

Son Heung-Min

Son Heung-Min is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur and the South Korean national team. He is known for his pace, work rate, and goalscoring. Son Heung-Min started his football career in his home country, South Korea. He played for various youth teams before making his senior debut for FC Seoul in 2009. In 2010, he was loaned to Hamburg SV, where he made a total of 27 appearances and scored 7 goals. The following year, he returned to FC Seoul and helped the club win the 2012 K-League title. In 2013, Son Heung-Min moved to England to join Tottenham Hotspur. He has since established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League, scoring over 50 goals in all competitions for Spurs.

Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich is a German professional footballer who plays as a right-back or defensive midfielder for Bayern Munich and the German national team. A native of Rottweil, Kimmich started his career at VfB Stuttgart before moving to Bayern Munich in 2015. He made his senior debut for Bayern in 2016 and has since won five Bundesliga titles, four DFB-Pokals, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. At the international level, Kimmich made his senior debut for Germany in 2016 and was part of their squads that won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and 2018 FIFA World Cup. Kimmich is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world and has been praised for his versatility, technical ability, tactical understanding, and work rate.

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for the English club Chelsea and the Spain national team. He began his career at Real Madrid, where he made his senior debut in 2010 and went on to win two La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, and three Champions League titles. In 2014, he was sold to Juventus for €20 million. After winning the Serie A title in each of his two seasons in Italy, he returned to Real Madrid for €30 million in 2016. Two years later, he joined Chelsea for an initial fee of £58 million. Morata has represented Spain at the senior level since 2014. He was a member of the country’s squads that won Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup, although he did not play in either tournament. Morata made his senior debut for Spain against Slovakia on 1 September 2014.

Christian Pulisic is an American professional soccer player who plays for the English Premier League club Chelsea and the United States national team. He is widely considered one of the best young players in the world and has been compared to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Pulisic began his professional career with Borussia Dortmund in 2016, where he quickly became one of the most important players on the team. He helped Dortmund win the German Bundesliga title in 2017 and reached the UEFA Champions League final in 2018. In 2019, he moved to Chelsea for a transfer fee of $73 million, making him the most expensive American soccer player ever.  Pulisic has represented the United States at various youth levels before making his senior debut in 2016. He played a pivotal role in helping the U.S.

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team. He was born on 31 October 1997 in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, and grew up playing for local youth teams. Rashford made his first-team debut for Manchester United in February 2016, scoring two goals in a Europa League tie against Danish club Midtjylland. He became the youngest English player to score in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, and he also became Manchester United’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the Premier League. In May 2016, Rashford was named in England’s provisional squad for UEFA Euro 2016, although he did not make the final cut.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, commonly known as Neymar or Neymar Jr., is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team. He is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world. Neymar began playing football as a young boy and quickly rose through the ranks of Brazilian club Santos’s youth academy. He made his professional debut for Santos at age 17, becoming one of the youngest players ever to do so. He helped lead Santos to their first Copa Libertadores title in 2011 and was named South American Footballer of the Year that same year. In 2013, he transferred from Santos to Barcelona for a fee of €57.1 million, making him the third most expensive footballer ever at that time.

Marcos Llorente

Marcos Llorente is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the Spanish club Atlético Madrid and the Spain national team. He started his career at Real Madrid, making his first-team debut in 2015. Llorente was born in Madrid, to Paco Llorente and Isabel Fernández. His grandfather, Lorenzo Sanz, was president of Real Madrid between 1995 and 2000. Llorente began his career at local club Rayo Majadahonda before joining Real Madrid’s youth academy in 2008. Llorente made his senior debut for Real Madrid on 7 December 2015, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3–1 away win against Getafe CF for the season’s Copa del Rey.

Lionel Messi is an Argentine professional footballer who played as a forward for the Spanish club FC Barcelona (2004–2021). And now he plays as a forward for Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and the Argentina national team. Often considered the best player in the world and rated by many in the sport as the greatest of all time, Messi is the only football player in history to win five FIFA Ballons d’Or, four of which he won consecutively, and the first player to win three European Golden Shoes. He has spent his entire professional career with Barcelona, winning 32 trophies, including nine La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions League titles, and six Copas del Rey. A prolific goalscorer, Messi is La Liga’s all-time top scorer with 450 goals. He is also Barcelona’s all-time leading goalscorer and playmaker.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Spanish club Real Madrid and captains the Portugal national team. Ronaldo began his career as a youth player for Andorinha, where he played for two years, before signing with C.D. Nacional. In 1997, he moved to Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, where he played for one season before joining Manchester United in 2003. Ronaldo quickly rose to prominence with Manchester United and by the age of 23, he had become the club’s best player and was voted FIFA World Player of the Year in 2008. Considered one of the best players in the world and frequently cited as one of the greatest of all time, Ronaldo has a record-tying five Ballon d’Or awards, the most for a European player, and is the first player to win four European Golden Shoes. He has won 29 major trophies with Real Madrid, including eight La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League titles. Ronaldo scored his 600th senior career goal on 15 February 2020.
